My feet are KILLING me. I cannot wait to soak them in the tub before bed. One of my bosses told me to keep sneakers at my desk! But that would be awfully unfashionable, so I’ll just bring flats. :)
Otherwise, the day went really well! I was fed a ridiculous amount of information and met too many people to remember all their names. But I’ll get it soon - I’m a fast learner. Completed a few tasks, ran a few errands, basked in the glory of my own decently-sized cubicle, and still feel excited to go back tomorrow morning.
The two snags in the day: both my trains to and from the city were experiencing technical difficulties! I was like, really? First day? Figures.
And here’s what I wore!
Jacket, Skirt, Cami (navy blue, looks black here): Ann Taylor
Shoes: Nine West
Bag: Emma Fox
apple-pie-moonshine asked: ahhh I'm so happy for you!!!!! :D You graduated at the same time I did, so your blog has been a refreshing reminder that struggling through the post graduate woes is worthwhile. I'm so glad you found something, can't wait to hear more once you're there! Are you moving to the city or commuting?
aww thank you so much!! The struggle was worth it. Things happen in due time. For anyone who is still waiting for their big opportunity, HANG IN THERE! For now, I will be living in a suburb outside of the city. The train ride will be approx 35 minutes as opposed to 85 minutes! I can’t wait to share more once this new chapter begins. Thank you so much for reading and supporting :) :)
Before the discounts, the bill came to $1041
After the discounts, it came to $644 but I got 13 pieces, including skirts, dresses, tops, camis, and a white blazer. Most are mix-and-match-able, and everything FITS!
Because let me just say, there are few things worse than an ill-fitting skirt or blazer. I have NEVER spent this much at one time. EVER. I guess this is a perk/downside of having a big girl job? (Downside being the credit card bill later lol)
Can’t wait to upload some photos when I start the new job :DDDD
sharingfromafar asked: Congrats on the job! That is awesome!
THANK YOU! I am SO excited. Either the next 10 or 11 days are going to go by really slowly, or really quickly. Can’t wait!!
I find out tomorrow or Wednesday if I got the job or not.
Second interview went amazingly, so hopefully my next post is THE post I’ve been waiting to post since being a post-grad.
(Guinness World Record for highest number of times “post” was used in a sentence? What is wrong with me right now….besides being extremely over tired)
The HR person who interviewed me today told me that there would be a second interview involved, during which the candidate would meet with the actual people s/he would be working for/with. I was told that I would hear from the headhunter either way.
I FOUND OUT MERE HOURS AFTER THE INTERVIEW THAT I WILL BE GOING BACK FOR PART TWO!
My interviewer told my headhunter that she had one apprehension - that I might be “too fragile” for the job when stressful situations arise in which I might get screamed at.
I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT I CAN HANDLE ANYTHING THAT COMES MY WAY.
*In no way am I calling my interviewer a bitch. I’m just using the gif for effect. Please do not let this influence your decision to hire me in the event you stumble upon this blog post.
JOB INTERVIEW IN MANHATTAN ON MONDAY!
Prepping all weekend.
